Continuing Education Opportunities

Due to the cancellation of the 56th Washington Non-Profit legal & Tax Conference we have resubmitted our continuing education applications as 'distance learning' for the recorded sessions that will be posted on our website later this month. We will update this list as we hear back from the various state bars, and accountancy boards.

Continuing Education Distance Learning

NASBA- CPE -NASBA has reached out to all of the state accountancy boards to ask for their input on whether 'live courses' can change to distance learning. NASBA has notified us that they will keep us up-to-date as the state boards report back.

CAE: Have requested that the program be changed to distance learning. Waiting to hear back.

Texas has approved the conference for distance learning

Pennsylvania has denied the conference for distance learning. Feel free to call them and question their decision.

States that accept reciprocity - CA, NY, NJ - We are inquiring if the same reciprocity rules apply to distance learning.

 

 

Previous approvals no longer applicable due to 2020 conference cancellation:

The conference qualifies for CLE, CPE and CAE continuing education. The amount of continuing education at the 2020 Washington Non-Profit Legal & Tax Conference is shown below. The conference does not apply for other continuing education such as CFP or EA (enrolled agents). You can check with these agencies to see if you can submit for accreditation as an individual.

NASBA Statement (CPE Accreditation):

Washington Non-Profit Tax Conference is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

The Conference is a Group Live presentation, Fields of Study include Tax, Accounting, Ethics. There are no prerequisites. Course knowledge level is intermediate.


CE Approvals  for the 2020 Conference shown below. The CLE amounts will be added as each state communicates the approved hours. We do not seek CLE approval in all states. See list below for more information.
 
CPE
NASBA 20 including 2.0 for Accounting Ethics, 45 minutes for each lunch session  is included.
CAE
CAE Full attendance at the conference is eligible for 16.50 CAE credits. All sessions qualify for CAE.
CLE
Alabama We did not apply for CLE in Alabama. Attendees may seek credit as an individual.
Alaska Alaska Bar members may claim credit for attendance at CLE programs offered in other states if the program is approved by another MCLE accredited jurisdiction.
Arkansas Bar members may claim credit for attendance at CLE programs offered in other states if the program is approved by another MCLE accredited jurisdiction.
California Bar members may claim credit for attendance at CLE programs offered in other states if the program is approved by another MCLE accredited jurisdiction.
Colorado CO has approved full attendance at the  conference for 19 CLE credits which includes 2.4 for Legal Ethics.
Delaware Attendees will need to apply as an individual to DE for credit. 
Florida FL has approved full attendance at the  conference for 18.50 CLE credits which includes 2.5 for Legal Ethics
Georgia PENDING

Illinois Attendees will need to submit to IL for accreditation, we will give you a certificate of attendance
